I won’t review the pizza. You’ll have to try it for yourself.
What I love about Cicero’s is how much people love it. People drive for over 25 miles to visit this humble shopping strip restaurant across the street from us. A sizeable portion of the Milpitas and Fremont population shows up on this Cupertino doorstep every weekend. Steve the Woz Wozniak puts in regular appearances.
It’s family run and has been for three generations, with a short break for a few years when they had to leave their old location.
Two of my favorite neighbors work here. “Why is it so popular with people from India?” I ask. “The spicy vegetarian,” one says. “Our crust,” the other says. They’re in the habit of referring to people by their pizza choices.
No one, and I mean no one, except for my daughter and me in occasional pizza desperation, came to the Round Table that was in the same spot before.
Whatever their secret sauce is, it’s working. Try it out if you’re in the neighborhood. I recommend the spicy vegetarian.
