My Writing Mantra

  • Don’t show off.
  • Don’t be in a hurry.
  • Be authentic.
  • Shed blood on every page.

  3. I am not familiar with the phrase “Shed blood on every page.” Does it mean writing with pain and sincerity?
I love your Osaka site and description. It is superb.

      Hey ET,
Thanks for stopping by, my native Osaka friend! Yes, I mean to write with pain and sincerity. When writing fiction, I mean not shielding my characters, but exposing them on every page. Digging into the dark depths of emotion where it can be very hard to go…but then treating this dark matter with control and in a way that’s bearable for the reader.
